Joseph Cecil Carr, 1910-2000
1910-2000

Carr, Joseph Cecil - Born January 7, 1910 in North Wellington, British Columbia on his parent's farm, died Aug 25, 2000 in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 90. Cecil leaves his loving wife Hilda of 64 years, and his son Joseph of Victoria.

Cecil was a well-known soccer player in the 1930s, and he volunteered to serve in World War II.  He worked for BC Hydro, BC Power Commission, and Nanaimo-Duncan Utilities. Cecil lived in Duncan for 30 yrs, and then retired to his hometown of Nanaimo in 1980. He was a life-long member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
